Extinction
I have spent many years researching tigers and trying to find more ways to help in their survival, other then donating money. By laboring over my glasswork, I hope to inspire people to learn more about tigers, and educate more people. I hope knowledge and passion I hold will grow and spread, infecting those who are around me.

My work is mostly cast glass with some mixed media. I create large tiger eyes with different glass techniques done to the outer lids of their eyes. Through the eyes, my viewers can see the different drawn images of why tigers are close to becoming extinct. Along the floor of the room are containers holding claws, whiskers, pills and powders, and blood. These things are some of what the tiger's body parts are used for in Chinese medicine. This is one of the main reasons tigers are poached.

By stepping into the tiger's world I have created for viewers, I hope to engage my viewers with my work, and allow them to learn more about tigers, their world, and its dangers. I hope to create a feeling of caution in them, making them uneasy and scared, almost as if they were being hunted themselves.

I have stared into the eyes of mounted tiger heads, and challenge my viewers to stare into the glass cast eyes I set before them. I challenge them to see the tigers' world, through their eyes.
