Publication Design created for my Typography III class. Cohesive print and digital iPad versions. I created a political magazine with articles revolving around social activism and global issues. The red pop color in the design signifies the somewhat sharp, aggressive nature. The design was not meant to be too stylized or trendy, but rather, timeless font choices, and a utilitarian nature, denoting the seriousness of the content, without boring the reader.

I chose the name "Point" for a sharp, political magazine focusing on global issues and social activism, toying with the phrase "on point". I played around a lot with the literal interpretation of what a point is, one of those options being a dot, as one would mark a point on a graph. The sturdy Helvetica is balanced out by the buoyant point replacing the "O".
