This project was a personal experiment with lettering, to take something from the analog side to digital. Starting with a sketch in my journal, I brought the image into illustrator, and using the sketch as a rough outline, I reinterpreted the shapes using the pen-tool. I was able to mix and re-use different shapes to form the letters, and in the end, played with different color combinations to get the right feel. Using the pen tool in this way took a lot of focus, but it was very satisfying to see the final results.
