The world around us can be cold, mundane and sometimes, downright boring. Somnium acts as a quarterly injection of the extraordinary into the blood stream.

 

In every issue, various artists, illustrators, and designers will be given a short story or poem to react and respond to, in whatever way they please; from traditional painting to typography, from collage to vector illustration. In doing so, we hope to create small pockets of places, stories, and characters for our readers to submerge into. We do this in the hopes of carrying them away, if only for a moment, to a world unlike any other.
