When musicians are performing solos, the audience or viewer is supposed to pay attention to the sound emitted by their instruments. When people talk or give presentations to a group, the group is supposed to pay attention to the presenters' voices and ideas. While I drew each of these line blind contours I was ignoring the musicians' sound and presenters' voices and ideas. I blocked everything out except their physical forms, which deviated from what I was required to do by my orchestra directors and teachers at the time.
