Exploding Girl is a short graphic story about the mental decline and recovery of a creative mind.
Mental illness is widely regarded by our society as a taboo subject, yet so many people experience it in thier lifetime. Exploding girl is an autobiographic tale inspired by my experiences with mental illness, in particular anxiety and depression.
Exploding Girl is for artists, musicians, writers, and other creative people that struggle with periods of mental illness. I hope that in some small way this story is a reassuring and consoling reminder of the healing effects of creative productivity and self expression.
