During my diploma I was tasked with designing food packaging labels for an Italian grocery brand. The brief required me to establish a specific look for the label according to its status in the market. As I had placed the product on the higher end scale I went for a more sophisticated feel. However I wanted to keep a sense of fun and sexiness to the packaging. I decided to create a storyline of a couple on dinner date, dressing the labels up as if they were the participants (characters). The suit and tie and frilly skirt hint at something a bit special; a little dressed up for a special meal. The cheeky saying on each further hints at an intimate/adult dining choice. The idea being these items would sit side by side on the supermarket shelf, encouraging couples to engage in a romantic dinner option.
