My artwork takes a critical view of social and emotional issues that are formed from romantic relationships. I constructed sperm out of matchsticks, playing on the contradiction of danger and intentional decision making.  It takes a considerate amount of energy to strike a match and create fire; the same can be applying to sex. It takes energy and the confidence to initiate the sexual act. The forms are as delicate as the topic of sex. Sperm marks the ending of sexual intercourse, but the beginning of life, the effects are infinite.
