With this project being about insects, I decided to focus on the wings of the dragonfly. Looking at close up photographs I noticed that these wings on one hand look incredibly solid and structured but on the other, look soft and flexible as if they are being knitted. Thus, I worked in small samples with wire and knotting fabric, drawing inspiration from different artists and fashion designers such as Oskar Metsavaht.
