Ethical Design: Nike's Sweatshop

This project aimed to focus on the ever-recurring unethical approaches that the multi-national corporation Nike continues to enforce within their third-word country sweatshops.

Nike is considered the number one sports brand of choice, selling approximately 65-120k million shoes a year. With this in mind its truly horrifying to take into account the allegations and evidence surrounding Nike's employment of underage workers that are subject to violence, lower than minimum wage, long hours and unsanitary conditions.

The design of my product aims at publicizing awareness of these issues and to encourage a think twice approach in relation to the item. The product takes form as a normal standard child's sized shoe box that is designed around the theme of a underage worker who is a victim to Nike's unethical approach of work.
