William Shakespeare - Much Ado About Nothing

Much Ado About Nothing
Theatre Poster and Programme for Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

The idea for my poster was using an anaglyph concept to express the blindness and interference of others in Beatrice and Benedict’s relationship. The poster also conveys the animal references of each character within the play. I used a roll fold for the booklet and chose to stick with the same colour palette as the poster itself. Using the red and cyan tones to distinguish between actor and character roles. I chose monotone photographs of the Cast and Director so that they wouldn’t interfere with the red and cyan colour palette.

This is one of which would be a series of posters about each character. The character of Beatrice in the poster shown is depicted with an overlay of an owl, a symbol of her wisdom.
