This collection was inspired by Tim Burton’s work.
His movies and animation are dark but cute tales that were my fascination for years.
I wanted to bring the fairytale gothic mood of his creations in my design but make it appealing to a non-gothic style person. I took the brightest attributes of his style: colors, stripes, leather straps, fur and feathers. For silhouettes I also studied his movies and tried to combine different era’s styles like Victorian in his movie “Sleepy Hollow” and 50’s Suburbia from “Edward Scissorhands”.
For Fabrics I used satin, faux fur, wool and leather.
Only three designs were produced by me from this collection and one of them was featured in Hot Press Magazine Ireland 2011.
