The monoprints are based upon the tradition of the Drukpa Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and features Druk, the Thunder Dragon of Bhutanese mythology.

Bhutanese art is quite rigid. People usually draw pictures of gods and animals. Their art is very traditional and religious.
While working with an artist from Choki School of Art, Bhutan I got to know the Bhutanese art and culture better and their obsession with dragons or the Thunder Dragon.. Taking the inspiration from this traditional art and culture, I created a fusion of modern art and ethnic Bhutanese art.

Monoprints are made with a process where You spread paint on a plane surface and make any pattern or design then press a plane sheet of paper against it to get a print.
