PortoFoz
PortoFoz is a work based on a very familiar place to me: Avenida Brasil, Foz, Porto. After shooting it I decided to use some of those photos to explore that location in different dimensions: from the 2D to the 3D. To develop that project I decided to use screen printing (serigraphy); a printing process.
The idea of space reconstruction is present in my work. I chose to use paper as my printing support. However, various types of paper are present: recycled, acetate, tracing paper and others. Since that many kinds of paper were used, we can play with all the possible overlays between the impressions.
That work resulted in an untied book with loose pages placed in black box. Like that, the reader can make better use of the thousands of possible conjunctions between the multiple impressions.
