Besides classic projects, our studio develops some special design such as the Submariner or the Flying House. Today The frontiers of flexibility and futuristic shapes are increasingly being moved forward so in this context Officinaleonardo proposes a few projects with research of shape but principally a different point of view of the concept "home and space".
It is a futuristic submarine yacht project, not so much for its potential (now already known and built elsewhere) but for its big spaces and for its fluid shapes: this Officinaleonardo's work is inspired by the devil-ray. “We wanted the submarine to look like a sea creature”.
But the reason of its shape is mainly linked to the movement in the water: the study of the forms of advancement in water has identified the mantas as true perfectionists and watercraft underwater flight. Their batting fin in the water refers to the movement of the wings of the birds in the air. The wave-like movements allow maximum efficiency propulsion with a minimum expenditure of energy. Their shape allows highly fluid motion sequences elegant and makes real acrobats underwater life.
