It is hard to find underwear for people who don’t fit exactly within the gender binary. There are things like “boyfriend’s” underwear for women, that emulate what men’s underwear looks like, but most of the time the seams are in all the wrong places to ever be comfortable on a female bodied person.
I wanted to create underwear that a person of any sex or gender could wear and feel comfortable in. The aesthetic is a neutral look that leans neither masculine nor feminine. theirs combines two features that are commonly found in women’s and men’s underwear: the two fabric gusset and front fly respectively. This is accomplished through the one shape design.

This one pattern piece construction allows for those aforementioned features, while also putting the seams out of the way of any discomfort. theirs are designed for expansion where one needs it without excess material where one doesn’t.
