Parking Lot // Accordion book

Parking Lot is an acordion book I made for Karen Baldner's Fall 2014 Bookbinding class, and while it doesn't carry too incredible of a narrative, it was a fun way to experiment with found objects and color. Each open set of pages has at least one object I found around IUPUI campus, and all other materials I had around the apartment..
This beer can is suspended between two squares of plastic cut from old shower curtains, then glued in place with hot glue simulating bubbles
Note to self: don't ever try gluing copper foil ever again. The regular glue I use with jewelry does not stick entirely, 3/10 would not recommend.
This bit from a wine bottle is trapped within 2 layers of cardboard and behind a piece of that same plastic from the beer can
Mr. Pinecone is my favorite, I'd love to make more of him
I dropped this bit of wire on my bike ride home and had convinced myself it was important enough to bike back to find. There was an Indy11 game that day
Cicadas are my favorite, also, let's admire the back side of that can!
