This is one of my first ever watercolor illustrations and while it's not my best work, it's one of my favorites that I hope to redo once I get a bit more talented at painting!

After reworking the design of the fairies, I played with mixing media-- colored pencil and watercolor paint. I did not like the final product and I'm hoping to redo it both traditionally and as a digital illustration. Here are some detail shots of the fairies and the Winter Cherry lanterns, The lanterns were actually a happy mistake!
