Ambient solutions is a sound design inicitive focused on supplying an enhanced visitor experience to public spaces. Through collaberation with the client it is posible to create added credibility to a creative space such as an art gallery or atmospheric enhancement to arcitectural attactions etc.

Below are a couple of examples of recent works.
 

A sound collage for the Warburton Gallery's Edgelands Exhibition. Collaberation was with Idris Murphy and Paul Martin whose exhibition was inspired by our interaction with the landscape.

 

The sound eliments used recordings made inside the exhibition space recording the resonant frequencies. (in a scale just a few millitones out from of F flat minor as it turns out) with samples of bone flutes, guitar and found sounds added. The soundscape was played back into the space for the duration of the exhibition. The natural resonance of the space amplifying and re harmonising the sounds naturally.

Dissolving vault number 7 is a found sound project using the language of the vault to enhance the experience of being there. Recordings where made over a 7 minuate period of the acoustic space. The length of the composition is in direct proportion to the volume in cubic metres of the space. Extra sounds where captured and added into the recording creating a disorinting effect while viewing the instillation.
