Parametric architecture is in fact the precise intention of a design process that “programs” the actions and reactions that the architecture will have once “born”. So the architect will define these dynamic parameters, the “genes” of the project, which then grow independently, adapting to the preferences of its users and to the environment, the city, flows etc.

But thinking in terms of nanotechnology for architecture means analyzing possible designs in a technological scenario close to the technological singularity, or at a time when the technological limitations of construction today will be completely overcome.
As we said, parametric architecture will become a synergistic fusion between biology and programming. We will program the genome and characteristics of nanoscale building blocks, which like a swarm of nanomachines will build and self-assemble continuously defining places, changing according to the needs of their residents with organic forms generated like plants.
