The story behind this piece revolves around a poor young girl who goes to the market place to steal octopi to practice her magic on. After an unsuccessful attempt, she defeatedly throws the old octopus into the sea. Little does she know that her magic worked, and brought the octopus back to life, and at a hundred times its size! The giant octopus is seeking revenge on the maritime society that relies solely on the fish market capital. The angry octopus is forcing all of the citizens to wear jugs on their head and they must now give any water they come across to the giant squid in the sea, causing a global drought. In the end, it is only the magic of the young girl who can stop this "old one."
This piece is a scene from a fictional series we had to create based upon receiving one random monster and one random natural disaster. I had the "the old ones" and a "global drought."
