Place Identity and Memory: An Exploration through Semi-abstracted Landscapes
Used Collagraph Matrices, (2010 - Current)

The themes landscape/place identity and memory are constantly being explored in my work. But particularly in these semi-abstracted landscapes which I keep on revisiting as a subject and method in my practice. Initially the work is made to be a collagraph matrix which has been previously used to develop prints from. However I keep these matrices and go back to them time and time again. To me they provide as sense of attachment to a landscape I associate with a memory, mainly because of the way they are made up of different material that I collected in memory of the place in mind. The material collaged onto the matrix may be considered insignificant things to others but of value to me for their associated memory.
