Second Year Final
Beautiful Life – Community photography project.
Arts Council England
According to a survey by the Royal Society of Arts three quarters of the adult UK population are not fulfilling their creative potential in their day-to-day lives; they are unable to generate change or turn their ideas into reality.

This can have a prominent effect on their sense of well-being, self-confidence and self-expression, as well as meaning that they aren’t interacting with the wealth of creative projects, museums, galleries and experiences that are available, largely for free, within the UK.

To challenge this Beautiful Life is a community photography project instigated by Arts Council England*. Participants are invited to consider beauty in their day-to-day lives and capture it with photography, submitting their work online.

Culminating into National Exhibitions of the work the project could be repeated over a number of years to document the change in opinion. A follow up research based project would use the data collected on the age, gender, and location of the images submitted within the UK, alongside the content of the photographs, to look more closely at how different social groups within England see the beauty around them.

Oh and www.beautifullife.co.uk is made up too, so I wouldn't try that… though last time I checked there was nothing there.
Thank you
