OFF/GRID began in Hawaii in 2013. With a friend, I spent three months exploring the big island with no plans, and even little equipment. We lived in tents, hitch hiked, lost our shoes, and endured broken ribs after a cliff diving accident. Where most experience paradise, we experienced being completely lost and disheveled. OFF/GRID explores the ways in which being lost is valuable, and being naive is worthwhile. It attempts to deconstruct the inherent structures and grids we navigate.
