Things that could have been 2014

Whenever the "past" is mentioned, I tend to think about whether its results were either contigencies or
inevitabilities and then which of those two the past itself was. I dwell on these two different concepts,
one beginning with "What if..." and the other beginning with "After all..."
They are quite similar but simultaneously opposite leaving both curiosity and regret and other times
abandonment and acceptance to reality. Though we can presume the presentis the result of such
contigency(or such inevitability), the actualities we see or feel on the surface seems so simple.
Some say there is no 'if" in history. However this time, I chose this very unreality as my concept and
tried to trace back to the "history - that could have been" using photographs with the guiding belief that
even the smallest thing could have caused the world we know it now to have been replaced with another
alternative which, were it true, would have been just as accpeted as the present. What if, say, Anglo
Saxons were black-haired with epicanthic eye folds while Mongolian Koreans were blonde and blue-eyed?
