Once in every year Muslim around the world will celebrate Ramadhan, the fasting month. In Malaysia where I live, Ramadhan is the month of glorious food. Where people from many walk of life will tend to find food that appears only when Ramadhan arrives.
The end of Ramadan is celebrated by a three-day holiday called Aidilfitri. Children often receive new clothes, gifts and cash.
Muslims attend early morning Eid prayers the day after Ramadan. Families usually spend the day visiting relatives and friends. And the culture to gives money to children is why the sampul raya or money pocket exist.
