Using photograph manipulation to illustrate the invention of the sewing machine, the entire background of the poster was created in Photoshop CC. The bright light blue base was chosen as a modern splash of color to compliment the traditional black, white, and cremes typically used in historical documents. A Singer Sewing Machine was placed within the piece despite it’s outdated model due to the authentic nature of this machine's design and built. The hand drawn details of the Singer juxtaposes the stark blueprint of the factory’s crafted machine in the background.
