Todd’s Fund Holes for Hope Charity Golf Tournament

Keefe Gorman, managing director of investments at Merrill Lynch, is a dedicated member of his community. Beyond helping his clients manage their finances at Merrill Lynch, Keefe Gorman supports several charitable organizations, including Todd’s Fund.

Formed in 2002, Todd’s Fund was created in remembrance of Christopher Todd Pitman--who lost his life on September 11, 2001--and his generosity toward others. The organization is committed to providing relief and hope to children who are in need, and it maintains a variety of events to help bring in money and support from the community. One of the more recently created events hosted by the organization is the Todd’s Fund Holes for Hope golf tournament.

The charity tournament welcomes 24 golfers who are interested in supporting the organization. The golfers are sent out in pairs and spend the day playing a total of 100 holes of golf, or six continuous rounds. Golfers who participate are asked to raise at least $500 for the charity, though many golfers set their own personal goals at a higher amount. The First Annual Todd’s Fund Holes for Hope golf tournament was held in September 2014 and brought in almost $38,000, surpassing the organization’s original goal of $25,000.
