This little kitty thinks he's the big shot in town!
My first linocut here, quite an experience! It was fun to do, but I think I'll stick with screen-prints from now on. They're less time intensive... plus I almost took a notch out of my thumb carving this 0.o
I did got to make the print on an old Vandercook printer, and it was an exciting machine to work with!

Linocut/Letterpress 11x17
This print was a reduction print, meaning I printed both colors, yellow and brown, with the same block. First I blocked out the yellow, and printed on the Vandercook (shown in above picture). Then I brought the block back off the press and carved it again, this time taking away everything I did not want to print brown (see below picure). Lastly the linoleum block was placed back onto the press, put in register with the yellow, and the second color printed over the first.
