Painted Sorrow was the 3rd bronze I had completed. It began with the title, which I then crafted the idea around. The loss of a friend. I feel all good art comes from emotion. It begins as a tear, a tightening of the throat, a moral outrage, and blood pressure rising. When one can capture this is when art best mimics life and life...art.
