New Chinatown Shop is a multi-discipline experience exhibition. The exhibition is centered around the aesthetics of glamorized "Hollywood " Shanghai, Chinoiserie, and the American Dream. The exhibition featured vignettes of Chinatown-inspired establishments. Each building represents the imposed "Chinese" aesthetics established by Westerners on these "foreign" business owners.
