Unity in multiplicity - Multiplicity in Unity - paper spatial installation
Materials: handmade paper, ink.
This spatial installation was my dissertation work for the Textile Design Diploma. It was inspired, like many other of my works, by nature and its rhythms. Observing clouds of birds spinning in the sky, or fish swirling in the ocean, I was always amazed by how these independent minds work as one in a spectacular dance. The composition was made of countless modules. These pieces may appear the same but were individually crafted in a unique manner.
I have had the honour to present this work at the 1st Young Textile Art Triennale (YTAT) Exhibition in Łódź in 2013, which accompanied the 14th International Triennial of Tapestry at the Central Museum of Textiles.
