Eider Agüero's profile

Izquierda WIP (l)

"My name is Eider Agüero, I’m right handed and this project consists on drawing with my left hand, the hand I never gave a chance to.
My creative process will consist on waking it up.

I don’t have a goal as I understand it as a limit. I expect nothing and everything at the same time.

To be honest, my intention, rather than waking my hand up is watching it wake up, being a spectator and let it surprise me by what may happen.
It’s not the fact of using my left hand itself what makes me work on this project, but the need of solving a question I’ve been thinking about for some time. I’m talking about the idea of not doing our best when we work on something; the idea of starting something and stopping it when we feel it’s good “enough”.
This may not happen to everybody but it’s happened to me sometimes, and I want to solve it thought the drawing. So I’m going to keep on the adventure I stopped a while ago.
But instead of continuing from the point I left it, I’m going to start from zero.
From zero and from the left.

I want to see where it takes me.

I may get further than with my right hand. Or I may not.
It’s also possible that they move in so opposite directions that I never get to know which one of them gets further.

I’m dying of curiosity."
