For the top window, I focused more on getting the colors right. A simple palette that could convey properly the coblestone of a provincial town and the window cool shutters color.

For the bottom one, I tried playing with illumination. I started seeing colors that normally before I wouldn't see when doing a color study. Colors from the room would bounce around and now my eye percieved them unlike before.
