A selection of photographs from a tour into the Chernobyl exclusion zone while in the Ukraine August 2009.

A unforgettable experience, that provoked a lot of imagination and emotion. My photos try to get across the feeling of being there. The stillness, the quiet, the emptiness, the sadness and the fear of the invisible danger of radiation.

I used a digital camera and a holga, shooting both colour and black and white. This set is a selection from the colour Holga set. The photographs were taken from between the Chernobyl safe zone and the ship graveyard to the ghost town of Pripyat.
