The brief stated that the brand WWF (World Wildlife Fund) wanted to inspire a younger generation to understand their impact on the environment. The organisation wanted to incorporate the Living Planet Report Findings and make them relevant and accessible. The younger generation is known as the “always on” generation and the aim was to design and create a simple way for them to contribute positively to the environment. They would do this by performing small acts of change, which would fit into their daily schedules easily, without disrupting their weekly routine. This solution became the WWF PlanIt App. The App that would not only provide statistics, but also give the user tips on how to be more environmentally friendly and carbon footprint reduction by merely following the schedule they have entered into the app. (2015)
