I created a Harvest Generator using Python script in Maya 2016. I programmed it to have a dockable GUI, complete with buttons and sliders. I modeled the pumpkin and squash that are brought in by this script. It is coded so that they will position themselves on a surface (in this case, an uneven plane), according to a colormap texture of the user's choice (shown in the video).
