Final painting from Painting 1
After the first two major paintings in Painting 1, I was beginning to feel more and more confident about my abilities to create art that was meaningful with paint. This project was different, a self portrait in any style we want, if I recall correctly.

I like logos, and I decided to construct something using primarily logos. I needed a structure for it rather than painting them straight on to the wood. I went into illustrator and after finding various logos I had reached a good base start. All that was left was to actually paint them. That is where the challenge was. Some of the logos had to be very small and even using the smallest brushes available, it proved challenging. I always enjoy a good challenge though.

After I had finished painting the interior teal color section with the figure standing in a Y pose, I decided that I needed to tie it into fit with the other paintings somehow. I did not want to decorate the  area right around the figure, so I decided a border was to be done on a dark green color. The end result seems to be a very balanced design, with paint. The added "dots" seem to be more of a confetti in my eyes and I enjoy how it seems to be a celebratory painting.
