  • Impossible Still Life: Session 1

    Every year at the Summer Art Intensive, every session, we start out with a still life drawing in order to understand value, composition and other elements.

    The objective: 
    A. (I was in an Advanced Drawing & Painting class) to beat the Character Design class by creating our own character faster than what they were doing (At this point, the Character Design class was still finalizing their chracters and starting to sculpt them).
    B. Randomly choose 5 cards from the 'Reckless Deck' (http://www.recklessdeck.com/) (1 card from each category i.e. attributes, weapon, etc), create a portrait of a character.

    Objective:
    -Interpret "All packed up and ready to go" and illustrate your own idea.

  • Tremor

    Requirement:
    -Self Portrait: by using the 'Zorn Pallette' (yellow, red, black, and white) used by Anders Zorn.
    -Show at least 2 different views of the face.
  • Hexa-Box
    Acrylic on cardboard-cylinder-containers ('box' handcrafted by me, using the containers, gesso, gluegun, paper and cardborads)
     
    Assignment Requirements: 
    -Interpret the Q&A: Q: "Where do you keep it?" A: "I keep it in a box." 
    -Must be 3-dimensional and must build a 'box'/surface from scrap. 
    -Show at least 6 different interpretations. One interpretation on each side of the box. 
    -Medium: Anything List of themes/concepts/ideas I used: (6 sides)
