Here starts the "Impossible Shoe Project"!
Step 1: I modeled my insanley tall shoe in Rhino.
Step 2: I split my modeled shoe into 1/8 inch layers to match the plywood thickness I am working with.
Step 3:  Send my files to the laser cutter!!!  This all went smoothly.
Step 4:  Organize all of the many over 80 pieces I am working with.  It is like a puzzle!
Step 5:  Stack layers and glue together.
Step 6: Sand down the sides of each shoe to reveal that beautiful under layer of stacked light wood. I used a corse belt sander and a cylindrical sander. So much saw dust!  Next steps: Attach leather strapes, and ta-da! Impossible shoes!
