Woodruff with Wormhole issues

Happy Halloween week everyone! I wanted to share my latest 3-D print which is called 'Woodruff the tree Ent struggling with his woodworm'. I've wanted to make this character for quite some time now but it only happened this last week or so as my Makerbot Rep2 has been in for repair and refurb. I initially sketched him in my Moleskin with a bic biro (which is my go to sketching setup) and he has been crying out to be sculpted for ages now. I sculpted him from scratch in the ZBrush in a couple of hours as he is a relatively straightforward shape.  I used ZSpheres for all the branches and dynamesh for the core model.  As you can see from the photographs below the print came out fairly clean around the face as printed him lying down on his back. With FDM printing (Fused Deposit Modeling) this is the best way to print and reduce the stepping issue.  I have a fairly robust pipeline now for 3-D printing in this way.  I use decimation master to bring the level of polygons down to between a  100,000 to 200,000 and export to the Makerware software as a single STL. For this model I printed all the branches as separate parts and superglued them in place.
