OBJECTIVE
Provide unique and educational interpretive signage for the new Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail in Jefferson County, Washington.
 
DESIGN
Develop consistent styling of text and image insets that complements and do not detract from the masterful watercolor illustrations of Mike Kowalski. Styling includes font selection, sizing, placement, color, and backgrounds of typographic elements and transparency and edge treatments of inset and background images. Meet Forest Service standards for accessible readability. Coordinate with fabricator to ensure an excellent final product.
 
CONCEPT
Achieve an overall simplicity that is contemporary and also maintains a country aesthetic appropriate for this rural trail.
