The hug chair is an easy chair, made of only 7 pieces of wood plus 2 metal or plastic joints.
The name came from the upper part which reminds a hug between two people; so the idea was to design a product that is easy to be produced and that is poetical at the same time.

The chair is made of two parts in veneer plywood (oak or birch) that together represent the seat and the back of the chair itself. They both have a thickness of 10 mm ( So 10 layers of 1 mm). Those two parts are connected together with two joints.

Under the seat there is a U piece of solid wood, which keeps together legs and seat.
Finally the four legs are made of solid wood (oak). Those have a conical shape, in fact they re- duce their diameter from the 5 cm on the top, to the 3 cm at the bottom.
