I used to be the publishing manager of the company's For Less travel guide titles. Within the Compact Guide series there were 46 cities, each published in different languages (yes! I have signed off a 72-page book in Dutch despite not being able to read the language!) complete with map.

I always wanted to modernise the design but, after the September 11 attacks, the travel-side of the company ground to a standstill and modernisation of so many books just wasn't viable. I did transfer the Pagemaker files over to InDesign before I left the company but this was more to save the titles as many Pagemaker files were becoming corrupt, and it's such a silly application.
