The local Unitarian Universalist congregation was looking to create a sign to show their support for #BlackLivesMatter. Two weeks after the sign went up, it was vandalized to read "All Lives Matter" -- though to my amusement the vandal unintentionally wrote BALLS MATTER on the other side instead. Whoops.
The UUs left the sign up in its vandalized state to illustrate the hostility that this simple message can whip up. A local painter repaired the sign.
After the above #BlackLivesMatter sign drew criticism from people who couldn't grasp the concept, I threw this together in frustration. Facebook reports that this graphic had a "Reach" of 1.2 million. I'm thrilled that it struck a chord.
