Meeting it in different times, there will be a different expression. This piece is a realm of extraordinary imagination. The content came from the natural of a signifier then transfer to a objective signified imagery. Nature is an inherent signifier of human being, and it represented millions of time though out history. This pattern of water is one of the twelve patterns in Water Album by Ma Yuan. I recreated this particular one named Yellow River Breaches its Course, with white vinyl. Also, this piece carries my though of homeland water. The sense of belongings can be transferred by an icon from Song Dynasty to present.
