This was the cover of my typeface book and the typeface I chose was Futura. The theme of the typeface book is based on 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick. Futura was one of Stanley Kubrick's favorite font. I chose to put iconic scenes from the movie for my typeface book in chronological order. 

I used this page as a way to show off the different weights that Futura had. I designed this page to look like the iconic scene of the monolith in the movie.

This page in the typeface book demonstrates the parts of the type. It demonstrates the characteristics of the parts of the type. This page is suppose to look like HAL and I used the phrase, "I'm afraid Dave" because it is one of the most famous phrases from the movie that is said by HAL. 

This page describes the special characteristics of Futura. This page is suppose to look like the light scene near the end of the movie. 

I wanted to create typography art for this page of my typeface book and I made this scene near the end of the movie. I used "DAVE" to be the word that created this page because of his important role in the movie. 

This is the back page of my typeface book. This page is based on the very last scene of the movie where the Star Child looks back at Earth.
