Instant Magazine had an opportunity to curate an art exhibit that would coincide with the museum display of the first camera-phone, developed by Philippe Kahn. What we came up with was a user-submitted photo show about work in Santa Cruz titled Life@Work.

Each participant submitted their camera-phone photo through a website, and these were curated, printed and displayed at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History from March 30 – July 7, 2013.

After all of the strategic meetings involved, dealing with the logistics of user submissions and permissions, and promoting the event, it was a relief to finally be taking an Exacto-knife to gator-board and see the final piece mounted for the show.
