Same.... same but different - a scentence you´ll hear over and over again, read it on various items like shirts and stickers.
This has been our first time to Asia and we totally aggree with that thesis. Just stop behaving like you always do and let it go... and I can only repeat and hardly recomend, just let it go and do what everybody does.
Vietnam is such a crazy place - a mix of dozens of contrasts - modern econonmy in an uprising attitude combined with some of the poorest comunities I´ve ever seen.
The Viets are mostly nice and gentle - don´t reckon something wrong, if somebody looks pretty grumpy and angry towards you - mostly these people are just curious about you - we made so many nice experiences.
Our journey led us from the modern and aspiring south starting in Saigon with a short stopover in the Mekong Delta area via Da Nang and Hoi An to the old styled and more conservative north with Hanoi and Halong Bay and finally back to Saigon, where we also flew home from.
Vietnam - Cảm ơn bạn - tạm biệt. We already sure, to come back - there are so many places left to explore like SaPa, Na Thrang and Phu Coc.
