North Hardin High School Guidance Office

For this project, I was tasked with creating a website for the North Hardin High School Guidance Office. In addition to choosing a content management system that was easy to use for the staff in the office, I was tasked with creating all graphics used on the site as well as most of the original content.
Features of the new website include:
-Upcoming College Visits
-Faculty/Staff Directory
-Electronic Curriculum Guide
-Twitter Stream
-Local Scholarship Database
-Information on National Scholarship
-Links to Kentucky Colleges/Universities
-Information about College Financial Aid

One of the most important features of the site is an electronic transcript request system that allows graduates to request their transcripts for personal or educational use directly from the website. The system is "green," allowing transcripts to be transmitted electronically (in some instances) and allows graduates to check the status of their request in real time. In addition, the system emails graduates with up to date information when their transcript has been transmitted or mailed by the records clerk.

This project was completed free of charge to the office. As a graduate of the school and former student employee in the office I saw this as a great way of giving back.
